APEC

-Should joing March on Saturday.  Need people to hold camp.

-Proposal to put signs on cups and put in fance.

-Occupy Everett visiting tonight.

-APEC will give non-binding recommendations to WTO.  Last year held in Japan.  In Vietnam local farmers set themselves on fire.

-Saturday's March.  World Can't Wait.  Local community protesting one of the presidents.

-Friday is Veteran's Day (good to do something visible).  Veteran's Day Parade denied permit.  All police on APEC detail.  Not allowed due to APEC.

-Artists wanted!  Strategic location Kakakoo/Kapiolani.  Open flames, cops don't care.  Can be a light saber show.

Quarum for GA met.

-Proposal.  Should GA be moved to Old Park?  Bad idea.  Keep GA here, send someone to park.  6:30 PM fine tomorrow, Friday or do early Saturday.  No need Saturday, do Sunday. Passed.

-Proposal.  Designated smoking area.  Clean cigarette butts.  Keep 20 yards away from encampment.  Passed.

Any more proposals?

-Proposal.  Special agent Chris Neely resembles someone we know.  Agent who killed local Hawaiian.

David from Occupied Seattle visit.

-Occupy Seattle started at Westlake Park, no permit, number of conflicts with police, number of arrests.  Police used sleep deprivation tactics (shinning flashlights), wore people down.  Two Schools: 1. Westlake ... won't retreat. 2. Good visibility, but unable to hold spiritual meetings and teachins.  GA's emotional rollercoaster.  Not abnormal on mainland.  Protests moved to Community College, more barriers against police there.  Some terminally homeless causing problems.  First day over 90 people showed up, next day 45.  12 tents have been setup with 9 to 10 campers.  County backing off.  We're blessed with nice weather here in Hawaii.  In Seattle, no electricity, no water, no propane.  Gave Chase President a nice welcome.  He ended up being locked at Sharton Hotel.  Police used chemical weapons.  Occupy Huston no food donations.  Turning blind eye.  Watery.  No tents.

We have high morale.  Discussions get heated.  Came here through divine providence.  Bought ticket long time ago.  Staying with friends.  Resort went out of business.  Education on how closely people watched.  Doing the right thing.  Solidarity.  Would love to do a people exchange.  Current Occupation at Superior Court Campus, flight plaza.  GA at 7 AM.  Will be helping with auction.  Visit OccupyEverett.org or # OccupyEverett.com?  Houston Tranquility Park empty after 6 PM.

Proponent on waging peace.  Look at Gandhi and Martil Luther King Jr.  Police know how to deal with violence, don't know how to deal with love.  Media will show ugly hair on elephant.  Wage peace fiercly, they can't deal with it.

-Comment, $45 million spent on security in Honolulu, $74 thousand for non-lethal weapons, 2 trainings, be aware.  Traffic camera co-opted, turned at us.

-Waikiki, huge concrete barriers.  Various points tight security.  Pedestrains searched in outer circle.  Civil Beat: FBI surveying people.  HPD, FBI, CIA, other security agencies.  Violance stirred be perpatretors.  Denver, etc, police officers perpatrating.

-Proposal.  Perpatrators please join us :)

-Training for Saturday's March.  ACLU training couple of weeks ago.

-Infotraitors, provocatours, con't make assumption about people.  Treat everyone equally.

-Direct action committee reinstated?

-Contacting union people.  Educating different unions on impact of APEC.

-Ideas for Friday?  Hold signs, encourage people to sleep over.

-Facilitator, note taker, stacker for tomorrow?

-Announcment: conference on the reaction to APEC progressive community.  Welcome to come.  Tomorrow & Friday all day staring at 9 AM.  Panel on natives, economy, globalization, militarization, APEC, etc.  Location: Thurday @ Church of the Crossroads near UH varsity circle.  Friday @ UH's School of Hawaiian Knowledge.
