Right now, the USA Congress and Senate are considering legislation that illegitimately affects Hawai'i and could fatally damage the free and open Internet.
On Jan 18th 2012, for 24 hours, many websites including Wikipedia and... deoccupyhonolulu.org, blacked out to raise awareness on the issue.
On Jan 19, 35 USA senators are publicly opposing PIPA. Last week there were 5. It takes 41 tostop PIPA: if you feel like it, please call the senators ...

Two officers in aloha shirts were speaking with a protester at the corner of Thomas Square. One officer asked if the protester would be staying the night at the park, when the protester said he wouldn't the officer responded with "Good, I don't want to see you get arrested."

If you are capable of attending tonights general assembly we urge you to come. We would like to start mass canvasing the entier island prior to the actions taking place on Nov. 5th! There will be a Rally @ Thomas Square @ 11am Nov 5th fallowed by a march to the capital and then back for Food & GA where we will release the location of the encampment that will be taking place on that day. ACLU will hold an informational session and answer questions
When: Friday, October 14, 5:30-6:30pm
Where: University of Hawaii at Manoa, George Hall 215 (It is a classroom).
Directions: George Hall is located on the Ewa side of campus right off University Ave past Metcalf (past Yogurtland and YMCA). It is a three-storey building between the School of Architecture and the Shidler College of Business.

We are planning a march on Oct. 15th. We will be meeting at Ala Moana blvd and Akinson, Honolulu Hi between 930am and 11am. (930am for those who want to come help set up, make signs, and hand out fliers) When the majority of people have arrivedwe will march from the park through Waikiki via Kalakaua to Kapahulu ave. Wemust stand single file, as we cannot take up more than half the sidewalk. Whenwe reach Kapahulu ave we will turn sideways and display signs.

The next two General Assemblies, Oct. 11th/12th, are @ Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach Park, Honolulu Hi from 6pm-10pm. We are meeting by the bathrooms by the parking lot. In event of rain we will meet under the trees near the enterance to the parking lot.
